Job description

As a WordPress Web Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites tailored to meet our clients' needs. Leveraging your proficiency in WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, you will collaborate closely with designers and project managers to bring creative concepts to life and deliver seamless user experiences across various devices.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate mockups and wireframes into functional and visually appealing websites.
  • Customize and extend existing WordPress themes and plugins to achieve desired functionality and design aesthetics.
  • Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and security through efficient coding practices and plugin management.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure cross-browser compatibility and overall website functionality.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for WordPress websites, including updates, backups, and troubleshooting.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in web development, particularly within the WordPress ecosystem.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide regular progress updates.

Necessary Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Web Developer with a specialization in WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with a strong understanding of responsive design principles.
  • Familiarity with popular WordPress frameworks and libraries, such as Bootstrap, jQuery, and Advanced Custom Fields.
  • Experience working with version control systems, such as Git, for collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a customer-focused approach to project delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while adhering to project timelines and deadlines.
